Tallaght Travellers Youth Service, a regional office of Crosscare, was established in 1985 in conjunction with South Dublin County Council and DSP (Fás).
Since 1999, Tallaght Travellers Youth Service has been receiving financial support from County Dublin VEC, DSP (Fás) and South Dublin County Council.
Tallaght Travellers Youth Service provides developmental and educational opportunities to members of the local Traveller community. The aim is to support the community whilst recognising their distinct culture and ethnic identity. The services are available to an estimated 250 families living in the greater Tallaght and Lucan road areas.
